  • Dr. Tiffany Andrzejewski graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at Indiana University. Currently, she resides in Chicago and is an optometrist at Chicago Cornea Consultants, where she has worked for the past 12 years. She also serves as an adjunct assistant professor of optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Chicago College of Optometry.

    Her clinical work is dedicated exclusively to specialty contact lenses and surgical co-management. She strives to find the appropriate optical solution for each of her patients, utilizing new technology and industry developments as they become available.

    Dr. Andrzejewski is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, the Scleral Lens Educational Society, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the Gas Permeable Lens Institute advisory board.

  • Dr. Asghari serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Education at BostonSight and adjunct Clinical Faculty for NECO and MCPHS School of Optometry. She completed her Doctorate in Optometry from SCCO, graduating summa cum laude. She completed her post-doctoral residency in Cornea & Contact Lens and Ocular Disease from The Ohio State University. Dr. Asghari has extensive training in the management of severe ocular surface diseases and irregular corneas using complex scleral lens designs. She is passionate about education and is committed to excellence in patient care. Dr. Asghari is a frequent lecturer, published author, and researcher. She serves on the board of the Intrepid Eye Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society.

    Dr. Asghari is the recipient of multiple rewards and recognitions, including nominations as a Top Doctor by the National Keratoconus Foundation (NKCF) in 2018, 2021, and 2022. Most recently, she was awarded the prestigious 2021 Theia Award for Young OD of the Year by Women in Optometry, recognized for her significant influence and contributions to the optometric profession.

  • Melissa Barnett, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA, is a world-renowned key opinion leader recognized for her expertise in specialty and scleral lenses, dry eye disease, keratoconus, and presbyopia. She has authored more than 275 articles and books, delivered over 350 lectures, is a board member and founding member of Intrepid Eye Society, and serves on several industry boards. Her work has been featured in medical journals, professional magazines, and consumer publications such as Bloomberg, Prevention Magazine, and Good Housekeeping. She is energized by her passion for helping people improve their lives by optimizing their vision, health, and wellness with a customized approach. Dr. Barnett is most proud of being awarded the Scleral Lens Practitioner of the Year from the Scleral Lens Education Society, the inaugural Theia Award for Excellence for Mentoring by Women In Optometry, and was granted the Most Influential Women in Optical from Vision Monday. Dr. Barnett is the Director of Optometry at the University of California, Davis, and is the host of the Clearly KC podcast.   • Greg Caldwell, O.D., is a 1995 Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed a one-year primary care and ocular disease at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry (ABO), a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society (OGS), and a member of the Optometric Wellness and Nutritional Society (OWNS). He currently works in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, as an ocular disease consultant.

    Dr. Caldwell’s primary focus is diagnosing and managing anterior and posterior segment ocular disease, and he has participated in multiple FDA investigations and trials. Dr. Caldwell has integrated nutrition, prevention, and wellness into patient care. He practices integrative optometry. In 2010, he served as President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA) and served on the AOA Board of Trustees 2013-2016. Dr. Caldwell co-founded Optometric Education Consultants and is a co-administrator of OCT Connect on Facebook. Dr. Caldwell has lectured extensively throughout the county and over thirteen countries internationally.

  • Dr. Alia Cappellani received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo and completed her cornea and contact lens residency at NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Scleral Lens Society. Dr. Cappellani currently practices and assists in resident supervision at Mission Eye Care, Centre for Dry Eye and Corneal Disease in Calgary, Canada.

  • Patrick Caroline serves as an Associate Professor at the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove Oregon. He is a Fellow member and Diplomat of the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry. For the past twenty years, Patrick has served as a contributing editor for the Contact Lens Spectrum and is on the editorial board for Contact Lens and Anterior Eye and Eye and Contact Lens Journals. He has published over 300 papers on a wide range of contact lens topics and has lectured extensively throughout the world.

  • Dr. Ariel Cerenzie is a specialty lens and myopia management enthusiast. Her passion derived from witnessing the profound impact specialty contact lenses have on improving patients’ current and future lives. She cold-started a practice called Charlotte Contact Lens Institute to focus on these specialties.

    Dr. Cerenzie attended optometry school at the University of Houston College of Optometry and completed a Cornea and Contact Lens residency at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society and is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.

    Dr. Cerenzie loves spending time with her husband, James, her daughters, Sofie & Adelyn, and two needy dogs, Remi and Otis. She enjoys waterskiing, mountain biking, hiking, and weight-lifting.

  • Dr. Jason E. Compton graduated from the SUNY State College of Optometry and completed his residency at the Wilmington, Delaware, VA Medical Center. Dr. Compton owns Compton Eye Associates, a private practice in the New York City area. Dr. Compton serves as Assistant Adjunct Faculty for the SUNY State College of Optometry.

    Dr. Compton is a Past Chair for the American Optometric Association’s Contact Lens and Cornea Section, a Contact Lens Institute Visionary, a Trustee for the New York State Optometric Association, and a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.

  • Jenny Fogt received her Doctor of Optometry (OD) and her MS in Pharmacology with an emphasis in clinical research from The Ohio State University. She began her career at Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates, located within Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, where she cared for the eyes of infants and pediatric patients and founded and directed the Pediatric Contact Lens Services within the practice. Dr. Fogt returned to The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2014 as an Associate Clinical faculty member, later joining the clinical faculty, and is now an Assistant Professor on the tenure track. She serves as the advisor for several graduate students whose research has included dry eye, anterior segment, and contact lens studies. She is an attending optometrist in the College’s Contact Lens Clinic and is the director of the Innovation in Vision and Eye Care Research Group (iVERG). Dr. Fogt’s work with iVERG includes investigator-initiated studies and clinical trials, with recent research including several studies on myopia control, specialty contact lens designs, contact lens solutions, soft contact lenses, and ocular pharmaceuticals. She is also a member of The Ohio State University Human Performance Collaborative and has conducted research related to vision performance with and without contact lenses. Jenny also serves as an Executive Committee member of the Scleral Lenses in Current Ophthalmic Practice Evaluation (SCOPE) group. This collaborative research group consists of optometrists at Mayo Clinic, Illinois Eye and Ear, Illinois College of Optometry, Korb and Associates, and The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Research by this group has identified many ongoing concerns in the field of scleral contact lens fitting, both by national and international surveys of best practices and specific cases and by clinical studies. To date, the SCOPE group has published 19 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 48 peer-reviewed abstracts.

    Dr. Fogt is a Fellow and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry, a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Optometric Association. She is also the faculty advisor for The Ohio State University Figure Skating Club.

  • Dr. Garzón is an optometrist, Universidad de la Salle Specialist in primary eye care, Master of Science-Pharmacology, and Doctor Ph.D. in Optometry and Vision Sciences. Dr. Garzón is the author of several books and scientific articles and a principal investigator on ocular surface, dry eye, and ocular pharmacology.   • Dr. Roya Habibi received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry and completed a Medical Contact Lens Fellowship at Casey Eye Institute. After completing her studies, she joined a group practice in Seattle, WA, where she developed and launched the Center for Eye Comfort, a full-service dry eye center, and headed their advanced medical contact lens clinic. After years in Seattle, Dr. Habibi decided to move to Tamarindo, Costa Rica, to open a concierge eye clinic. She is hosting an Advanced Fellowship Program to train local optometrists, and she connects with the local community through their Eye-to-Eye Charity. She is the host of the top eye care podcast, Try Not 2 Blink. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is on the fellowship board of the Scleral Lens Education Society.   • Dr. Erin Tomiyama is an Assistant Professor of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. She is a Southern California native and completed her undergraduate degree at UCLA. She then received her OD degree from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Dr. Tomiyama moved to Houston, TX, to complete a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her residency, she was introduced to clinical research and decided to pursue an MS and a PhD in physiological optics. In her current role, Dr. Tomiyama teaches in the Contact Lens curriculum and serves as a clinical attending in the Stein Family Cornea & Contact Lens Center. She has developed a passion for myopia management and recently established the Myopia Management Service at the university. Her research areas of interest are myopia, optics, contact lenses, and astigmatic corrections.   • Dr. Ashley Tucker graduated from UHCO and completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency. During her residency, she received extensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating corneal and anterior segment diseases in complex contact lens fits and myopia management. Dr. Tucker spends the majority of her clinic time managing patients who require specialty contact lenses or myopia management. Dr. Tucker is a partner at Bellaire Family Eye Care and The Contact Lens Institute of Houston. She is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she is the course master for the Ophthalmic Optics Laboratory. Through her affiliation with the University of Houston, she regularly provides continuing education on the topics of anterior segment disease, specialty contact lenses, myopia management, and ophthalmic optics.   • Maria Walker OD, MS, PhD, is a clinician scientist focusing on keratoconus, childhood myopia, and specialty contact lenses. She graduated with an OD/MS from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, USA, in 2013 and then completed a one-year Cornea & Contact Lens Residency at Pacific University in Portland, OR. She joined the faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) in 2014 and completed a PhD on the impact of a scleral lens on the eye in 2021. Dr. Walker is currently an Assistant Professor at UHCO and runs a research lab studying keratoconus, the tear film, and the effects of scleral lenses. She is also an investigator in the BLINK study to evaluate using soft multifocal contact lenses to reduce myopic progression in children. She provides specialty contact lens patient care two days per week. Dr. Walker is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Past President of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and an advisory board member of the Gas Permeable Lens Institute.

  • Matthew Lampa received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. After graduation, he completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Pacific University College of Optometry. He is currently a professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, where he is involved in specialty contact lens fitting, contact lens instruction, and clinical research. He is also an associate in a private practice in Silverton, Oregon.

  • Dr. Lasby is a 2013 University of Waterloo graduate with a Doctor of Optometry. She then completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at Northeastern State University, Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO) in 2014. Dr. Lasby is a partner at Mission Eye Care in Calgary and co-program coordinator of the Cornea and Contact Lens Residency Program, affiliated with NSUOCO. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Society. In her spare time, she also serves as the President of the Alberta Association of Optometrists.

  • Dr. Messer received her doctor of optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry, and subsequently went on to specialize in Cornea and Specialty Contact Lenses by completing a one-year residency. She is highly trained in fitting specialty contact lenses for keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, and other corneal diseases, as well as multifocal and orthokeratology contact lenses. Dr. Messer has authored many articles for various publications and enjoys teaching other doctors complex contact lens fitting techniques and surgical co-management topics in classroom and clinical settings.   • Dr. Morrison is the owner of In Focus: Specialty Contact Lens & Vision Solutions, a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, that specializes in contact lenses for advanced ocular conditions and comprehensive care for difficult visual cases. After graduating from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Dr. Morrison completed a Cornea & Contact Lens Residency at SUNY College of Optometry in New York City. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS), and the recipient of both the Bert C. and Lydia M Corwin Contact Lens Award and the Johnson & Johnson Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient care.   • Dr. Chantelle Mundy is a clinical associate professor at The Ohio State University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and completed an ocular disease-based residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. She is the Cornea and Contact Lens residency program director and clinical instructor for both optometry students and ophthalmology residents. She is a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (SLS), a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), and completed a PROSE clinical fellowship. Dr. Mundy is co-founder of the Advanced Specialty Contact Lens Clinic in the department, and her interests include scleral lens fitting for advanced ocular surface and corneal disease. She received the 2022 Top Doc award from the National Keratoconus Foundation.

  • Dr. Clarke Newman is a 1986 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, and he has been in private practice in Dallas, TX since. His practice specializes in the visual rehabilitation of patients who have had corneal diseases, failed refractive surgeries, or corneal trauma. Dr. Newman is a Past President of the Texas Optometric Association, served as Chair of the AOA Federal Relations Committee for four years, currently serves on the Evidence-Based Optometry Committee, and is a long-time member of the AOA’s Cornea and Contact Lens Section (CCLS). Dr. Newman is a diplomate in the AAO Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies and is a past chair. He is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice and was just awarded the James A. Boucher Memorial Award by NAP. He is a Fellow in the British Contact Lens Association and a Fellow in the Scleral Lens Educational Society. He served four years on the FDA Medical Devices Advisory Committee—Ophthalmic Devices Panel. He has won numerous awards, including the TOA Young OD of the Year, TOA OD of the Year, the TOA Distinguished Service Award, AOA CCLS Luminary Award for Distinguished Practice, AOA CCLS Legends Award, AOA Advocate of the Year, and the CLMA GPLI Practitioner of the Year. He writes and lectures frequently on a wide range of anterior segment and contact lens-related topics.
